How Do You Know Your Mate Is Cheating?

There are many ways to find out if your significant other is cheating.  In my opinion, the most important factor in determining if your mate is cheating is behavior patterns.  Everyone has a routine or ritual that they do on a daily basis.  Whenever a new behavior pattern is developed, that signals a change in personal preference.  You don't suddenly start coming home late or buying things that you never bought before without a valid reason.  If your mate just starts changing behavior patterns without any reason, it's a clear indication that something is up.  What's your opinion and thoughts?
